Mani Tak WVH

This beautiful 11 year old 15.3hh, Palomino gelding has been ridden by a young rider here at Willowview Hill Farm for the last several years. He is energetic, forward and kind. Mani possesses an excellent mind and conformation. He has no vices and is good to tack, trim and bath etc. He is a forward guy with high energy so we don't recommend him for a beginner or nervous rider. He is ideal for someone looking for a horse they can take on further through the levels that enjoys an elegant horse with an outgoing fun personality and neat gaits.
The only reason Mani for sale is that his present rider has too many college commitments too far from home to be able to give him the time he deserves. We are seeking an educated home where he will be the number one horse, with a competent rider that would enjoy him for dressage, trails etc. Hence the very reasonable price. This is a great opportunity to purchase a sound, handsome horse with a first class ride and work ethic that is fun to be around. Mani is good turned out with other horses and works barefoot as do all horses at Willowview Hill Farm.

Mani enjoys a schooling dressage session with hunter/jumper/ event rider Nancie
Currently Mani is working through his basics in dressage. He is scheduled to begin some work over poles this month to see how he likes jumping. He may make up to be a handy event horse! He has good dressage basics already. We will be providing video footage here shortly.
Mani has also been used as a horse model in photo shoots by TheHorseStudio.com. See his picture under longe section at their online store.
A brief history of the Palomino breed & color:-
The Palomino has been written about in history books from ancient times. Known as the "Golden Ones" they were written of in the times of the Crusades when the chiefs of Saladin rode them to battle. Known for fleet of foot, sure footedness, endurance and valiant heart, the Arabs and Moors have many stories of the breed. The ivory mane and tailed lightweight horse has been featured in Asian tapestries, and European paintings across the centuries. Most horsemen agree this breed is a descendant of the Arab and Barb breed.
Queen Ysabella of Spain kept one hundred of these beautiful golden horses at her court and they were heavily favored in royal circles. In modern day their heritage is fully apparent in the Lusitano. The name Palomino is a Spanish surname and they are believed to have come across the ocean to the New Spain, ( presently New Mexico), and spread to Texas and California. Queen Ysabella after all, funded the expedition that discovered America, the New World.
Mani Tak is a fine example of the Palomino, while his coat fluffs to that of a silky 'teddy bear' during winter months and becomes lighter in color, during the summer months his coat is a rich golden color reflecting the heritage of bygone days. By nature he is very intelligent, has excellent stamina and is a quick study. Sensitive but kind, and always willing to do as asked. He is a perfect match for the rider who enjoys the lighter more elegant ride and he makes an excellent dressage mount with his ongoing training in the French School.
Price $10,500
Westminster WVH

This handsome 11 year old chestnut gelding stands at 17.hh., and brings Hanoverian action with a great mind and excellent manners.
'West' loves to be ridden and has a great nature, three good gaits and is very comfy to sit and has great presence with star quality. He will make an excellent mount for someone looking for a good moving horse with a kind and sweet disposition that loves the big horse feel and needs a larger mount. West is a favorite in the yard here and is very well mannered. He works happily in a snaffle bridle and is steady to the bit, he knows his basic dressage works and likes to show off. His excellent length of back is perfect for lateral work, and his hocks are set well under him for engagement. His top line is smooth and his back soft. We'd love him to go to a home where he will be the number one horse - he has been at WVH several years and we are all extremely fond of him.
'West' has no vices, is good to trim, trailer, bath etc. We will be adding a video shortly.
He is available for sale at this great discounted price because we are switching our focus to breeding and need to make room for future foal crops and do not have the time for all our geldings. West is currently working with an FEI rider.
Price $22,000
Here are some pictures of 'West' being ridden by Anne, a Willowview Hill student who is beginning her dressage work after a successful hunter/jumper career. West is a kind teacher who happily works with both the amateur and professional rider. He has not been used as a lesson horse but has been ridden in the past two months by a couple of WVH students in order to showcase his teaching abilities.

West has a calm energy and loves to be ridden. He is very comfortable to sit and very forward. Here Anne works in the posting trot creating energy to harness for her collected work.

West is a great teacher, sensible and always willing and Anne enjoys her 'bonding' time with him.
" West is a SAINT and I LOVE him! " comments Anne.
